THRISSUR: Garments worth Rs 35 lakh were reportedly burned to ashes after a major fire broke out in the wee hours on Thursday at a textile outlet, Black Men’s Wear, on Bhavana Road in Kunnamkulam. Officials at Kunnamkulam Fire Station said that that they got the call about the fire incident from an autorickshaw driver on night duty at 2.45 am and responded within two minutes. A mobile shop adjacent to the  shop was also damaged in the fire.
