THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:The Law Secretary has recommended the prosecution of P C George MLA and two IPS officers based on the defamation complaint lodged by state police chief K S Balasubramanian.
Along with George, former DGP M N Krishnamurthy and suspended SP Jacob Job face allegations on a leaked telephonic conversation. Balasubramanian alleged that P C George had leaked the conversation through the media and dragged his name needlessly into the case.
Balasubramanian has requested that the government file this case directly through the state public prosecutor under section 199 (2) of the Criminal Procedure Code.
ADGP intelligence A Hemachandran has also submitted a report stating that the conversation was leaked out to defame the state police chief.
