Rahul Continues Attack on PM, Says NDA Government is Lying

Congress scion Rahul Gandhi continued his virulent attack against the ‘suit-boot’ Narendra Modi Government on its first birthday here on Tuesday, stamping the total insensitivity to people’s issues and scant disregard to understand it.

KOZHIKODE: Congress scion Rahul Gandhi continued his virulent attack against the ‘suit-boot’ Narendra Modi Government on its first birthday here on Tuesday, stamping the total insensitivity to people’s issues and scant disregard to understand it.

‘’The government is lying on policy initiatives like the Land Aquisition Bill. The people are convinced now they will be looted,’’ the Congress scion said.

Rahul told a mammoth conclave of Youth Congress workers here that the main issue the Congress is concerned is that the Prime Minister, who is keen on his costly suits and globe-trotting, is evidently not at all concerned about the basic issues of the needy sections of society.

‘’I wish all success to the Modi Government which is celebrating its fourth birthday on Tuesday. The ordinary people have nothing to do with it as it is only a celebration of Modi with his few corporate friends,’’ Rahul said.

‘’Modi is more concerned about paying back to the corporates who had spent thousands of crores of rupees for bringing the BJP Government to power,’’ the Congress vice-president said.

‘’I don’t know why the government is in a tearing hurry to force upon the public the anti-people and anti-farmer clauses in the Land Aquisition Bill.’’

‘’After the farmers, a situation is being created for fishermen wherein they have to live like foreigners with passports if they want to venture into the seas for fishing,’’ he said.

All adverse policy measures will be opposed and defeated.

CWC member A K Antony, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, Vayalar Ravi MP, KPCC president V M Sudheeran, Home Minister Ramesh Chennitha, YC national president Amrinder Singh Raja Brar, state president Dean Kuriakose and others spoke.
