THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:The government has promoted ADGPs Jacob Thomas and Loknath Behra as DGPs following the retirement of police chief DGP K S Balasubrahmanian and DGP Alexander Jacob.
Announcing the decision, Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala said on Saturday that ADGP Vigilance Jacob Thomas was made the commander-in-chief of the Fire and Rescue Services and Loknath Behra, currently functioning as ADGP Headquarters, as DGP Prisons.
ADGP Arunkumar Sinha, currently in charge of modernisation, special services and traffic, was given the additional charge of administration. ADGP M S Ananthakrishnan would get additional charge of SCRB. ADP Anikanth, who was currently in charge of SCRB, would function as MD, Kerala Police Housing Construction Corporation, he said.
The minister said that the reshuffle and postings were effected with the consent of the Election Commission.
