Three Cars With Explosives Found in a Temple Near Puttingal Temple

Three cars loaded with explosives were found stranded at the Sarkara Devi Temple, Kurumandal, near to Puttingal Temple.

KOLLAM: With the Puttingal Temple premises yet to recover from the tragedy which had engulfed it following a firework display, another scary news had hit the people there. Three cars loaded with explosives were found stranded at the Sarkara Devi Temple, Kurumandal, near to Puttingal Temple.

Police authorities are of the opinion that the cars were in a dangerous position to be moved, the locals complained that even after the incident authorities were posing a lackadaisical attitude towards a complaint filed by them on Sunday.

"We had informed the police that three cars were in the temple compound and one of them is loaded with explosives, which might have shifted from the Puttingal Temple following the incident. The complaint was made on Sunday at around 10 am. Till this time nothing has been done to defuse it. The only thing they had done is that two police personnel were posted here," said a complainant.

Meanwhile RDO R Vinod said that taking into account of the seriousness of the issue he had written to the District Collector to intervene into the issue.
