Second wife of suspected ISIS recruit arrested in Kerala

Kasargod police arrested a Bihari woman in connection with the case of missing persons.

KOZHIKODE: Kasargod police arrested a Bihari woman in connection with the case of missing persons, suspected to be with the terror outfit Islamic State.

Kanhangad DySP Sunil Babu k, who is leading a special team, identified the woman  as Yasmin Mohammed (29) residing in Delhi. "She was detained along with her four-year-old son when they were set to board a flight to Kabul at the IGI Airport," he said.

The police suspect Mohammed to be the second wife of an ISIS suspect, Abdul Rasheed Abdullah (30), missing from Trikaripur with his wife Ayesha and daughter Sara.
The DySP said Mohammed constantly kept in touch with Rasheed even after he was reported missing by his family.

Mohammed was formally arrested in Kasargod and produced before a magistrate court, which remanded her in custody Monday night.

Rasheed, who is facing charges of supporting and joining terror organisation under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, is believed to be the key indoctrinator and leader of the group of 21 persons missing from Kerala.
