Kerala Police Investing Time for Covering Up Ministers' Corruption: Opp Leader VS

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Claiming that the law and order situation in the state has been in total shambles,Opposition leader VS Achuthanandan has alleged that the police force in the state is investing its time and energy in covering up the corruption cases involving the ministers.  Addressing a news conference here today he  said  The Police force were fully immersed in protecting the government and containing the agitations against the  Government by lathi charging and bursting grenades against the activists.

Pointing out that the law and order had crumbled in the capital  district right under the nose of the Home Minister, he pointed out that  in the last few days alone there were three  gruesome murders  in broad daylight infront of the onlookers.

“Yesterday, a a student was bludgeoned like a mad dog  to death at Vakkom in the broad day light.   On the other day that a DYFI activist was stabbed to death  at Nedumangad by a gang of  thugs. Just five days back that a girl was hacked to death  in the morning at Attingal  while she was on her way to  workplace” he pointed out. He alleged that the Oommen Chandy Government was following  soft approach ton the miscreants.Coming down heavily on the DGP  Senkumar for his alleged inaction while giving too much attention  for his Face  book posts, he alleged that the  Senkumar was more interested in  covering up the corruption cases of the ministers.
