TIRUVALLA : A special police team under Crime branch DySp G S Sanalkumar arrested the key accused in the money cheating case from Assam on Sunday.
The arrested has been identified as John Ninan, of MohanVilla, in Arattupuzha.
John Ninan was the proprietor of Valloppallil financiers at Erayaranmula, the police said.
“He duped customers after he agreed to pay 24 per cent interest for cash deposits. Many persons filed complaints against him for loss of gold pledged as collateral.
“The police arrested him based on complaints filed against him from Chengannur and Aranmula,” the police sources said.
He has been living in Assam for last 9 years.
