Kerala CM: Opposition Has Lost Confidence to Face UDF

ALAPPUZHA:  Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has said the opposition had lost confidence to face the UDF in the coming election and was trying to tear away the small groups from the ruling front.

After inaugurating the UDF election convention at the Town Hall here on Thursday, he said the UDF would not go back to anybody to assume power. The housewives of the state will not forget the UDF government that reduced the source of liquor in the state. He said the state has topped in law and order in the country.

He said the LDF had declared that if it comes to power it would amend the liquor policy. The unity in the UDF has helped lead the government in the state for five years.

Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala said the country could not move forward by segregating people on the basis of religion. The people of Kerala will teach a lesson to the Modi government which is trying to create intolerance in the state.
