People have high hopes on new government: Pinarayi

Vijayan said the portfolios of minister will be announced after the swearing-in ceremony.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister-designate Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday morning handed over the list of ministers to Governor P Sathasivam.

Vijayan arrived at the Raj Bhavan at 9.27 a.m. and handed over the list at 9.30 a.m. The list had 19 names of which 12, including the CM are of the CPM and rest nominees of allies. Later the duo had a discussion which lasted for around 15 minutes.

Later, addressing media persons, Vijayan said the portfolios of minister will be announced after the swearing-in ceremony. He said the people have high hopes on the new government.

The swearing-in ceremony will be held at the Central Stadium at 4 p.m. today.
