THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: On the 60th anniversary of Keralapiravi, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will launch the year-long celebrations of ‘Vajra Keralam’ at the Kerala Legislative Assembly on Tuesday at 10.30 am.
Noted people from various walks of life will light 60 lamps to mark the anniversary. The Diamond Kerala celebrations, to be organised together by the state government and the Legislative Assembly, will be presided over by Speaker P Sreeramakrishnan.
Senior Metropolitan of the Mar Thoma Church, Philipose Mar Chrysostom, poet Sugathakumari, Revenue Minister E Chandrasekharan, Power Minister Kadakampally Surendran, Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala, Opposition deputy leader P K Kunhalikutty, Olympian P T Usha and Deputy Speaker V Sasi will address the gathering. Prominent individuals from various fields, including ministers, former chief ministers and former speakers, will attend the event.
