Chennithala to visit Attappadi hamlets

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennithala will visit Attapadi, where the tribal children are under threat of malnutrition, on November 22. He is visiting the tribal hamlets at Attapadi in the wake of reports of continuing death of tribal children in the region. Despite the promise by ST Welfare Minister A K Balan in the Assembly, the situation has not changed in the region, Chennithala said.

Recently, a tribal child had died in the region. The projects that are being announced by the government had not changed the situation in the region, he said. During his visit, he would meet the Adivasis and also social activists working in the tribal sector.
