Amit Shah to meet Kerala BJP leaders over poor performance in Malappuram bypoll 

The meeting gains significance in view of the Central leadership's demand that party should build into winning party in the 2019 Lok Sabha poll.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan, national executive members V Muralidharan, P K Krishnadas and state organising secretary M Ganesh will meet the BJP national president Amit Shah on Thursday.

Among other issues, the leaders will explain the poor performance of the party in the Malappuram Lok Sabha bypoll. The meeting gains significance in view of the Central leadership's demand that party should build into winning party in the 2019 Lok Sabha poll.

The Party national executive meeting held in Bhubaneswar also had entrusted the party state leaders to unleash an unprecedented campaign to win seats in the Lok Sabha poll and expand the NDA base.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that leaders would press for allotment of central government positions for state party leaders and NDA allies such as BDJS.
