THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The decisions taken at the November 21 ‘peace-keeping’ meeting convened by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan have become irrelevant with “government-sponsored violence” continuing in the state, BJP state general secretary M T Ramesh said on Sunday.

Ramesh said the ‘BJP forum against Marxist Violence’ was planning to launch agitations and raise public consciousness against the CPM-led Left Government’s inaction to end violence. The BJP decision comes on the heels of the murder of BJP worker C E Santhosh at Dharmadom in Kannur last week.

“The CPM itself has scuttled the decisions. Four Sangh Parivar members have been murdered since then. After Santosh’s murder, CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said the CPM had no role in it. But all the arrested men are CPM workers and known to the Chief Minister and Balakrishnan,” Ramesh said.
The BJP forum will hold fasts in all district headquarters on January 30, Martyrs’ Day. In Thiruvananthapuram, the fast will be held in front of the Secretariat.
