Kodiyeri alleges attempt to sabotage Jishnu case

Congress leader K Sudhakaran was trying to sabotage the Jishnu case, alleged CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Congress leader K Sudhakaran was trying to sabotage the Jishnu case, alleged CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan. A case should be registered against the Congress leader for his intervention in the matter, Kodiyeri said on Thursday.

The CPM state secretary asked KPCC chief M M Hassan to make the party’s stance clear in the matter. “K Sudhakaran’s intervention was to withdraw the complaint against Nehru Group chairman P K Krishnadas. When Jishnu Pranoy issue came out, then itself the link between Congress and Nehru Group was evident. But Congress attempt was to make political mileage out of it.

Also, they wanted to use Jishnu’s family’s agitation against the CPM and the government. During this time, the Congress leaders were in touch with the college management. With the Sudhakaran issue, this link has been exposed,” Kodiyeri said. He alleged Sudhakaran tried for mediation at the house of a BJP leader.

‘I mediated only in Shaukath Ali case’
Kannur:
After coming under severe criticism for trying to mediate in the Nehru Group college issue, Congress leader K Sudhakaran on Thursday said he acted as a mediator only in Shaheer Shaukath Ali case and not in Jishnu Pranoy case.  “Nehru Group chairman P Krishnadas was a KSU leader. His father played a significant role in supporting the Congress in Palakkad. I have personal connection with the family for several years. I took an impartial role as a mediator. Nehru group management and Shaukath’s family members took part in the talks, Sudhakaran said.
