The High Court had restrained United Nurses Association and Indian Nurses Association from going on indefinite strike pending disposal of a petition against the strike.
The Kerala High Court on Tuesday refused to vacate the interim order prohibiting the indefinite strike by nurses in private hospitals. When the case came up for hearing, the government submitted efforts have been taken to solve the issue and that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will hold talks with nurses’ associations on July 20. The court adjourned the case to Friday.
UNA takes out protest march
The UNA took out a march against the management of Aswini Hospital in Thrissur for allegedly humiliating around 290 nurses and forbidding them from joining duty.
