MG varsity to host chancellors’ council meet on Friday

Mahatma Gandhi University will host the third Chancellors’ Council meeting scheduled to be held on Friday.

KOTTAYAM: Mahatma Gandhi University will host the third Chancellors’ Council meeting scheduled to be held on Friday. The council, comprising Vice-Chancellors of 13 universities, was formed at the behest of Governor P Sathasivam, to improve the overall quality of higher education in the state.

“The Chancellors’ Council will discuss issues in the higher education sector and will function as an effective forum for exchange of ideas,” said the Governor. Vice-Chancellors of Kerala, Calicut, Agricultural University, Cusat, Sree Sankaracharya, Kannur, Kerala Kalamandalam, Health, Veterinary, Fisheries and Ocean, Malayalam and  Technological Universities will attend the meet.
