KANNUR: In yet another case of child abuse from Kannur district in Kerala, police have taken into custody a 27-year-old madrassa teacher on charges of sexually abusing four minor girls at Muzhakunnu.
According to police, they arrested Muhammed Rafi, who teaches at the Irrity Vilakod Chakkat Madrassa, on the basis of a complaint by girls, all below 10 years old, about an incident that happened last Sunday.
The girls informed their parents, who then registered a complaint at the police station.
The teacher has been booked under the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act.
