MALAPPURAM: Lambasting the state government for the police action against anti-GAIL protesters, Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala alleged the ruling dispensation is looking at bearded men as terrorists.

“There is no difference between the Narendra Modi Government at Centre and the LDF Government in Kerala. Both are following the same policy of discriminating against the religious minorities,” he said.

Speaking at a reception given to the Padayorukkam rally in Malappuram on Saturday, Chennithala said the law and order situation in the state has deteriorated after the Pinarayi Vijayan Government assumed office.

“Violence and murder have become the order of the day in the state. It is strange that even common man is denied justice,” he said.

Chennithala lashed out at the government for unleashing violence against the religious minorities and using the police to suppress protests.
