KOTTAYAM: Janapaksham leader and former Government Chief Whip P C George MLA has demanded a comprehensive inquiry into the wealth and financial sources of all prominent actors and actresses in Mollywood in the wake of the attack on an actress and the ensuing developments.
He also demanded a CBI inquiry into the entire episode related to the abduction of the actress.
George told reporters on Tuesday it was sheer injustice to limit the probe to Dileep alone, who is an accused in the actress assault case.
“Several persons in the Malayalam film industry are connected with the the gruesome incident.
“It was around six years ago that Pulsar Suni kidnapped two actresses. Even AMMA was aware of these two incidents. Actor-turned-MLA Mukesh appointed him as his driver even after this. AMMA cannot shirk responsibility for allowing him entry into the industry even after these incidents,” he said.
George said the police should explain why they did not charge any case against the two actresses till now. He also alleged the arrest of Dileep was the result of a group war in CPM’s Kannur lobby.
