Hassan slams Kodiyeri for comment's on Congress MLA's sexual abuse case

Slamming CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan for his remarks he felt pity for the state Congress chief in supporting Kovalam MLA M Vincent, KPCC chief M M Hassan

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Slamming CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan for his remarks he felt pity for the state Congress chief in supporting Kovalam MLA M Vincent, KPCC chief M M Hassan has asked Kodiyeri whether he had shown the courage to ask LDF MLAs and CPM leaders to resign from their posts on allegations related to sexual abuse cases. “Kodiyeri is forgetting the past and present of his own party activities. If all these are dug, skeletons will come out,” he said in a Facebook post in reply to Kodiyeri.

In a Facebook post, Kodiyeri had said he felt pity for Hassan who had to talk in defence of Vincent who was arrested in an alleged sexual harassment case. He said Hassan’s statement the MLAs need not resign was a black mark in the history of politics in Kerala.

“The Congress decided to remove Vincent from all party posts after the allegation came up. But in the alleged Wadakanchery sexual harassment case, Kodiyeri had only tried to protect the CPM leader,” he said. Where had Kodiyeri been when Power Minister M M Mani made adverse remarks against plantation workers and when former minister A K Saseendran was involved in a similar case, he asked.
