KOCHI: The brother-in-law and sister of the woman on whose complaint of sexual harassment Congress MLA M Vincent was arrested and remanded in jail, filed anticipatory bail petition before the Kerala High Court on Thursday. The petition was filed by Sindhu Pushpan, sister of the victim, and her husband Pushpan. The petitioners had come out against the complaint given by the woman.
The cops registered a case on the allegation the petitioners tried to influence the victim asking not to file a complaint against the MLA and subsequently she tried to commit suicide. The victim’s sister had alleged the victim has been undergoing treatment for mental illness for the past ten years. She had alleged their brother is behind the entire incident. The victim and the MLA were in touch and the victim’s brother tried to exact revenge after the MLA refused to give him a government job.
Another bail plea filed
T’Puram: A day after the JFCM, Neyyattinkara, dismissed his bail plea, M Vincent MLA filed another bail plea before the District Sessions Court on Thursday. The court will consider the petition this Friday.
