Kerala actor assault: SIT not to hand over case files

The Special Investigation Team probing the actor assault case will not hand over documents, including case diary, to the Enforcement Directorate.

KOCHI: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the actor assault case will not hand over documents, including case diary, to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) which is conducting a parallel probe into the assets of actor Dileep, an accused in the case.
The SIT believes there is absolutely no need to turn over the case diary and FIR, which are confidential in nature, since the ED probe is focused on the actor’s assets.
An ED officer said the probe could not make headway since it is imperative to know whether Dileep had any land transactions or financial dealings with fellow accused in case or filmy persons. “We’re yet to receive any reply from the police with regard to our request,” he said.
