KOCHI: The state government on Tuesday informed the Kerala High Court the investigation into the honey trap case, involving Transport Minister A K Saseendran, was in the final stages and the final report will be filed against the accused soon. The government made the submission when a petition filed by S V Pradeep seeking a CBI probe in the case came up for hearing. Pradeep had been arrested for telecasting the tape, too.
The Crime Branch said the investigation revealed the accused had entered into a criminal conspiracy with a common objective of creating an explosive news item for telecasting on the launching day of the news channel and recorded sexually explicit words and conduct using a mobile phone.
