KOTTAYAM: The police team probing the mystery behind the deaths of Sunil Kumar, 37, and wife Reshma, 27, the couple who had committed suicide after being interrogated by cops in Changanassery over a gold missing case, formally received the post-mortem report from forensic experts at the Government Medical College Hospital in Kottayam.

As per the report, only minor contusions and aberrations were detected on Sunil’s body, ruling out any physical assault by cops. The small contusions were seen on the back of both arms below the armpit and on the front of the left forearm, below elbow, while a minute aberration was detected on the undersurface of the left big toe.

According to forensic experts, the contusions might have happened while the body was lifted from the spot. Earlier, there were allegations that police torture had forced the couple to end life.
