THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CPM state leadership decided not to have any kind of association with the SDPI in any of the lower factions.
The two-day state committee meet that concluded here on Saturday held detailed discussions on the matter and decided to ensure no such alliance exists in the local bodies or at the regional level.
The meet discussed ways and means to strengthen the party ahead of the polls in 2019. A workshop with district secretariat members and constituency- level leaders will be held at the AKG Hall here on Sunday.
The recent Abhimanyu murder in Maharaja’s College and the follow-up action were also discussed in detail.
Though the police had drawn flak from various corners for the delay in arresting the culprits, the state committee did not have any major criticism against the government, said a senior leader.
The CPM meet also discussed about the monsoon calamities.
