THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan tried to use brute force to crush devotees in the Sabarimala issue but failed miserably, said BJP state president Sreedharan Pillai.

The CM has insulted the thantri family who are neither employees of the state government nor are taking any money from the government, said Pillai. According to customs and beliefs, the thantri is the father figure of Lord Ayyappa. The CM and his cohorts at AKG Centre should not try to become the thantri’s father figure, he said. The CM’s stubborn attitude is the reason for all the crisis and problems at Sabarimala, he said.

Once upon a time, believers of the Orthodox church were not able to live in communist-ruled Soviet Russia. But now, photographs of the Orthodox church are printed even on mineral water bottles, he said.
Even the Chinese communist party has had to adjust with the beliefs of Neo-Buddhist movements, he said and wondered whether the CM is not seeing the writing on the wall.

In Sabarimala, the believers have won the fight against demons of all hues paraded by the government and this can even open the eyes of the Supreme Court, said the BJP state chief.
Pillai called upon the media to have a clear understanding of what the RSS and Sangh Parivar are and added that organisations such as the Sri Ram Sena, Hanuman Sena and Shiv Sena are not part of the Sangh Parivar.

Call for judicial inquiry

A Gujarat-based leader’s outfit is the CPM’s new friend, he said, adding that the Sangh Parivar is not responsible for the miscreants who created problems in Sabarimala. He called upon the CM to initiate a judicial inquiry into the recent clashes and find out the reality for himself.
Pillai also alleged that the CM is trying to create a division between upper and lower castes in the Sabarimala issue and warned against distorting reality by creating a bogey of lies.
