ALAPPUZHA: A couple ended their lives after killing their twin sons at Thalavadi near Edathua in Kuttanad on Friday. The deceased are Sunu, 36, his wife Soumya, 31, and three-year-old sons Aadhi and Adhil. According to Edathua police, the incident came to light on Friday.
“The couple killed their children and hanged themselves in their house in Ward 9 of Thalavadi panchayat. A suicide note found in their bedroom said they were taking the extreme step after Soumya was diagnosed with blood cancer.
The exact reason can be ascertained only after a detailed examination. The family also faced financial issues,” said a police officer. The bodies were handed over to the relatives after autopsy, police said.
