BARGARH: It was a sea of humanity at the ‘rang sabha’ called by demon king Kansa where he hatches a plan to eliminate his nephew, Lord Krishna.

Lord Krishna, earlier in the day, continued to caper about at Gopapur with the village girls (gopis) by breaking their earthen pots for butter.

The people of Gopapur and outsiders seemed to enjoy the pranks of little Krishna who is reprimanded by his mother Yosada for his naughty deeds.

As part of Krishna Leela, ‘vastra haran’ was enacted at the mango orchard along the bank of river Jeera (Yamuna) where Lord Krishna steals the clothes of gopis bathing in the river.

It was in the evening, in Mathura that thousands of people jostled for space to have a glimpse of the ‘ranga sabha’ that was attended by more than 40 kings of friendly kingdoms. They confabulated on ways to kill Lord Krishna at whose hands the death of Kansa has been written. The weirdly dressed kings also looked equally horrific as they conspired to kill Krishna.
