BHUBANESWAR: Nicole Suchanek from Germany who had conducted a children’s theatre workshop that resulted in a production of the hugely successful musical based on ‘Snow White and Seven Dwarfs’ is back with Bakul.
She and compatriot in theatre pedagogy Stefan Blank are here to do a project on Theatre for Change using the methodology of Forum Theatre initiated by Nobel Peace Prize 2008 nominee Augusto Boal of Brazil. The duo is set to conduct a three week workshop at the Bakul Children’s Library for youth between 13 and 21 years from Feb 17.
Boal has successfully used Forum Theatre to change many laws in Brazil. Forum Theatre is a kind of interactive theatre which encourages the public to take the initiative to bring about change.
