“IF YOU want to live a more fulfilled life, first you will want to know your potential and who you really are. Meditation through dance is the route to that knowledge. It is the methodology of the science of awareness,” said one of the many participants who came to attend the four-day Sufi dance international meditation camp held at Pantha Nivas here last week.

As many as 200 people from all over the country participated in the camp that was conducted by Maa Dhyan Abha, Swami Antar Jagdish and Anna Petrone. The aim behind the camp was to de-stress people, mostly youths, and channelise the repressed energy which is stress into right direction through dance. “Dance is a very potent medium to ventilate trapped emotions and ease out knotted nerves. When inculcated inhibitions are crossed through dance, the person becomes relaxed. Modern age mystic OSHO (Achayra Rajneesh) has designed and modified dance as meditation which is very relevant to the Gen X youths,” said Sudhanshu Deo, MD of host body Third Eye Infotainment Private Limited.

The hall inside the Panth Nivas reverberated with the sound of sublime music on all the four days. Out of the 112 techniques of OSHO, as many as 12 techniques were practiced during the camp. Some of these techniques were dynamic, whirling, Hoo Mahamantra, kundalini, laughing, gibberish and Gourishankar. All these techniques have a jet speed effect. Dynamic meditation is recommended to be done in the morning, this hour-long method is a powerful way to kick-start your day. It provides an outlet for tension and withheld emotions as well as being a great energy-booster. Kundalini meditation is a gentle yet effective way to release all the accumulated stress of your day.

Sudhanshu said among the participants, 80 per cent were youths who sought peace and stress management through dance meditation. The camp was initiated by Sparsh, Third Eye Infotainment Pvt Ltd along with the spiritual partner Osho Dhyan Kendra.
