BHUBANESWAR: The State Government on Saturday declared March 18, the bypolling day, a holiday in Athagarh Assembly constituency. The Labour and Employees’ State Insurance Department has brought out a notification in this regard. All industrial units, shops and commercial establishments under Athagarh constituency will sanction paid leaves to their employees under the Orissa Industrial Establishment Holidays Rule, 1969.
All the voters of Athagarh, who are working outside, will also be entitled to the paid leave.
For the bypoll, Ranendra Pratap Swain has got the BJD ticket while the Congress has fielded Suresh Mohapatra.
