Miscreants loot Bhubaneswar temple

Miscreants broke into a temple near Baramunda area of the City late on Thursday and decamped with jewellery as well as cash from the ‘hundi’ located on the premises.

The incident occurred in Nilakantheswar Temple. Khandagiri Police said some unidentified miscreants broke into the temple and looted gold and silver ornaments of the deities worth ` 1 lakh. They also broke open the hundi and made away with about Rs 5,000 in cash.  Police found some syringes from the crime scene and suspect drug addicts could be behind the incident. No one has been arrested yet.
