Police on Sunday night arrested seven persons, including a sex worker, from a house at Dhabalagiri under Jajpur Road police limits. They have been charged with running a brothel, said A K Sahoo, police officer of Jajpur Road police station.
The police have also seized three motorcycles, liquor bottles and five mobiles from the house.
The arrested persons have been identified as Papindrapal Singh (25), the house owner, Kousik Pradhan (22), Alfaranjan Nayak (24), Sujit Kumar Palei (26), Jyotimoyee Das (25), Madhusudan Das and a sex worker of Anandapur.
They were produced in the court of Judicial Magistrate First Class at Jajpur Road on Monday and remanded in judicial custody.
