Abhyachandpur Police on Thursday arrested five women contract workers of IOCL’s Paradip Oil Refinery Project for allegedly stealing construction materials, including scrap and other machineries from the project site.
CISF personnel busted the racket and seized the stolen materials following raids in which the five women were apprehended.
They used to sell the stolen materials to unscrupulous traders and earn good money.
CISF personnel handed over the five, identified as Nisha Behera, Khulana Behera, Jamuna Behera, Basanti Behera and Urmila Behera, to police who produced them in court.
