Kids prove to be wizkids

Ordinary students displayed extraordinary skills in interesting activities at the Horlicks Wizkids competition here on Saturday.

Talent reached a new platform altogether as students from as many as 16 schools from across the twin cities participated in a varied platter of 50 events and activities as part of the Horlicks Wizkids competition held at XIMB here on Saturday.  Mother’s Public School, Bhubaneswar, romped home with the Champion’s Trophy, bagging the maximum number of prizes.

Ordinary students displayed extraordinary skills in interesting activities that were divided into three zones - main stage, creative zone and fun zone. Main stage included competitions like the wiz team, musical melody, dance icon, wiz quiz and two minute talent contest while creative zone had essay competitions, both English and Odia, painting and drawing competitions and so on. On the other hand, fun zone included mehendi art, face painting, little chef, recycle raja and some other interesting contests.

The coveted Wizkid title was shared by two students, Arindam Nayak from Mother’s Public School and Pritiman Mishra from Stewart School, Cuttack. Both the students will be representing Odisha in the South Asian Finals to be held in Bangalore in November.
