The 15-year-old burn victim of Kendrapara, who is battling for life at the Central ICU of SCB Medical College and Hospital here, will be shifted to Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi on Thursday.
She will be accompanied by a team comprising a plastic surgeon, an anaesthesiologist, nurses and a pharmacist, hospital sources said. The decision to shift her was taken after consent of girl’s family was received by SCB.
The girl had been set on fire by two youths in her village Kharinashi under Mahakalpada police limits on July 28. The girl, who sustained 70 per cent burn injuries, is critical. Her condition is deteriorating, which prompted the decision to shift her to New Delhi.
