The Urban development Department on Thursday issued notification for elections in 90 urban local bodies (ULBs) in the State.
State election commission (SEC), which has been apprised of the notification, would fix the dates for the polls in various municipalities, notified area councils (NACs) as well as Berhampur Municipal Corporation.
The road was paved for holding the elections after Orissa High Court on August 6 vacated all the interim stays it had imposed on implementing a notification issued by the State Government over delimitation and reservation of some 30 urban local bodies (ULBs).
