Nurse dies of dengue

A nurse of MCL Central Hospital here died of dengue at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar on Sunday. The deceased Sema Manjari Sahu (45) was found dengue positive 20 days back and was shifted to Bhubaneswar immediately. Her condition worsened following failure of kidneys and other vital organs, said Chief of the MCL Central Hospital S Sukla. She belongs to Bonai area of Sundargarh.

Earlier, locals had alleged that even as cases of dengue were increasing in the area, the local administration was doing nothing to curb it.

In Talcher, colliery colonies and municipal areas are replete with garbage heaps, chocked drains.
