Determined to improve its position in the coming civic body polls, the BJP will focus on those wards where the party has better winning possibility.
The district committees of the party are in the process of selection of candidates and winnability is the criterion for selection of nominee, president of the party’s State unit K V Singhdeo said.
The selection of candidates for the ULB polls has been decentralised.
The district committees have been advised to consult local leaders, including MLAs, former MLAs and MPs during selection of candidates, he said, adding that the final list will be approved by the State committee.
Singhdeo said the party is trying its best to field candidates in all the wards.
