In a bid to cash in on the rising popularity of Gujarat Chief Minister and national campaign committee chairman of the BJP Narendra Modi, the State unit of the party has launched a drive to bring youths under its fold.
About 2,000 youths from Ekamra, Jayadev and Jatani Assembly constituencies on Tuesday joined the BJP.
Welcoming the new members, State unit president KV Singhdeo said the people have suffered a lot due to misgovernance of both the State and Central Governments.
He called upon the newcomers to work hard to ensure victory of the party in next general election.
