Members of the Koraput Bar Association on Monday took out a rally here demanding establishment of the High Court bench in the district.
They said as per the Justice Jaswant Singh Commission report, Jeypore is the most suitable place in the State for setting up the HC bench. The lawyers sought cooperation from members of other Bar Associations of the undivided Koraput district over the demand. They later submitted a memorandum through the Jeypore Sub-Collector to the Prime Minister, Union Law Minister, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Governor.
