Rupee fall shocking: CM

Expressing concern over the devaluation of rupee, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday  said it will cause further price rise and add to the woes of the common people. ‘’It is shocking that the rupee has breached the 65 mark vis-a-vis US dollar today. It tells all about macro-economic policies of the UPA Government,” Naveen told mediapersons here after the rupee fell to an all-time low of 65.72 per dollar during the day.

Stating that it is a matter of time before the prices of petrol, diesel and fertilisers go up, the  Chief Minister said this is going to severely affect the common man by way of further price rise. “I only hope that the UPA Government that came to power on the plank of ‘aam admi’ will not further inflict price rise on aam admi,’’ Naveen said.
