Six cases of violation of model code of conduct have been filed with the code enforcement cell in Ganjam district.
Of them, two were proved to be false and investigation is on into the rest four cases, said Nodal Officer Dipti Mohapatra.
According to the cell, on August 19, Ganjam district Congress Committee president Bhagaban Gantayat alleged that in Hinjili, shop rooms were distributed violating the code of conduct.
Chatrapur Sub-collector and Hinjili Tehsildar inquired into the matter and informed the cell that the decision on shop distribution was taken before the code came into force.
Similarly, the allegation by one Madhu Mohanty about violation of code of conduct in Kodola NAC was proved wrong during investigation, said Mohapatra.
However, the allegation of violation in Kabisurya Nagar, Chikiti and Khalikote are under investigation, said the Nodal Officer.
