Capital Hospital’s VIP patient

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has chosen the not so spick-and-span government health facility over swanky private hospitals to treat his tooth trouble.

On Friday, he turned up at the Capital Hospital, City’s biggest government hospital, to undergo a root canal treatment (RCT). A two-member dentist team took close to half-an-hour for the treatment.

“It was a regular wear and tear but its condition is good. So it did not take us much time,” said Dr Umesh Panigrahy, who along with Naveen’s personal dentist Saumendra Sarangi carried out the RCT.

“We have the best of technology here and the Chief Minister has reposed his faith in us,” he added.  Naveen has visited the hospital three or four times in the past for his dental problems.
