Two Maoists arrested

The personnel of Border Security Force (BSF) and  district police arrested two hardcore Maoists during a combing operation in  Sapamba jungle near Kerimiti village under Narayanpatna police station on Saturday. 

Police said both Maoists, Rupuna Mandingi and Madhaba Habika alias Kuturu, are leaders of Narayanpatna area of Srikakulam-Koraput Division Committee (SKDC) of Andhra-Orissa Border Special Zonal Committee. They were wanted in several cases including murder and attacks on security forces in past four years and were in most wanted list of police.

During interrogation, the Maoists revealed that they had undergone training in various Maoists’ camps in Odisha and AP.

They were trained on making of IED, operation of different weapons and planting landmines.

Both are close associates of Maoist leaders Daya, Aruna and CMAS president Nachika Linga.
