One Usharani Mohapatra (16) was crushed to death on the Ring Road near Sector-7 by a tipper on Sunday morning.
As per reports, the girl of Sushilavati Women’s College was returning home in a bicycle after tuition when the mishap occurred.
Tension ran high following the mishap when locals gheraoed the Sector-15 police station demanding compensation for the family of the deceased. Normalcy was restored following intervention of the local BJD Minister Subrat Tarai who assured them of initiating necessary action.
