50 students booked for malpractice

Flying squads caught 50 students resorting to unfair practice during HSC examination from different parts of the district on Monday. They were appearing Mathematics paper.

With this, the total number of students caught copying in the district has gone up to 353 in the last four days of the examination that began on February 25.

District Education Office sources said 22 students of Sribanta High School in Kalyanpur, nine of SG High School in Kapila, five of RL High School in Bhelanga, four each of Korei High School at Korei and Kalpana Devi Vidyaniketan in Barachana, three of Hingula Vidyapitha in Daulatapur, two of Nigamananda Vidyapitha at Barada and one of Kanaka Durga Vidyapitha in Balibili were caught indulging in malpractice.

Six squads have been deployed to inspect examination centres in the district.
