With mounting tension in the aftermath of the bomb explosion in Posco area, leading to three deaths, prohibitory orders were clamped on Monday in Patana area on Monday.

The district administration took the step in the wake of the ‘Maha Samabesh’ to be organised by Posco Pratirodh Sangram Samiti (PPSS) members on Tuesday.

Several political outfits opposed to the Posco steel project had also planned meetings to protest resumption of land acquisition in Gobindpur.  On Monday, more than 20 betel vines were dismantled by the administration. There are also reports of many anti-Posco activists hiding in nearby forests fearing action following the blast and killings.
