Way cleared for Cuttack-Chandabali Road project

The World Bank has cleared the much-awaited Cuttack-Chandabali Road project in the State to be taken up at a cost of Rs 373 crore.

 This is one of the biggest road projects to be implemented in the State. The State Government was pursuing the clearance of the road project with the Centre and the World Bank since a long time.

 With this, the World Bank has cleared all projects having a total length of 310 km at a cost of `869 crore.

 Once completed, the Cuttack-Chandabali Road project will ease traffic congestion on the route. The State Government is keen on speedy implementation of the project in a time-bound manner.

  This was a long-standing demand of the people of the districts of Cuttack, Kendrapara and Bhadrak.
